David Anderson
Minnesota Editor
David has resided his whole life in Minnesota. David and his family live in Lonsdale, MN and Exurb of Minneapolis and St. Paul, formerly from Rosemount, MN a suburb of St. Paul.
David has had a conservative upbringing despite the fact that his father is a retired state employee and former union steward, and mother is a retired state employee as well. Both are steadfast Republicans today thanks to the Reagan Revolution.
David became involved in politics right after graduating high school becoming his local Republican Basic Political Operating Unit (BPOU) Secretary/Treasurer. He ran unsuccessfully for State Auditor in 1994 losing a tight primary battle to then Republican Judi Dutcher who is now DFL State Auditor Judi Dutcher. He often comments now to party officials that had he had just a tiny bit more support we would still have a Republican State Auditor in office. He also ran for State Treasurer in 1998 in an effort to save the office of State Treasurer from becoming part of the bureaucracy and maintaining elective representation.
David has been an active opponent of efforts in Minnesota to become a Unicameral Legislature. He believes that a unicameral legislature does nothing to reduce the size of government but reduces the representation people have in St. Paul making it far easier for special interests and metro areas of the state to dominate politics. He has researched the unicameral for many years and has independently polled constituent bases in Nebraska -- the nation's only current Unicameral Legislature.
David is engaged in the political process wherever possible delivering the conservative message and arguments that have been absent for many years in a state that too often has been controlled by the agenda of the liberals.
David is also the editor for NorthStarVoice.com
