Dawn Case
Oklahoma Editor
Dawn Case, born in Graham, Texas, has lived with her husband Howard in Woodward, Oklahoma, since 1974. Their son, daughter-in-law, and three grandchildren also live in Woodward.
Upon Dawn's graduation from Wichita Falls Senior High School in Wichita Falls, Texas, she entered the work force and attended Midwestern State University, also in Wichita Falls.
While Howard was serving in the military at William Beaumont Army Hospital, Dawn and Howard lived in El Paso, TX, where Dawn was employed with the KELP Radio and Television station.
Prior to moving to Woodward, Dawn and her family lived in Frederick, OK, where she was employed with the Agriculture Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) and Dallas Airmotive, Inc.
Since switching to the Republican Party in 1994, she has been active in party politics and has helped in numerous campaigns. She was area coordinator for the Republican candidate for State School Superintendent in 1994, and campaign manager for the District 59 candidate for the Oklahoma House of Representatives in 1996. She has served as a delegate to a number of County, District and State Republican Conventions, has been the county party newsletter editor, and has helped staff the GOP booth during Woodward County events.
An enthusiastic member of the Woodward County Republican Women's Club, Dawn, currently president for the third time, has served as club treasurer (two years), essay chairman (four years), club reporter (four years), and newsletter editor (four years). She is also a proud member of the National Federation of Republican Women, the world's largest women's volunteer political organization, and the Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women.
Dawn has taught a non-denominational Bible study for 24 years and was owner and editor of a small, conservative newspaper in 1997 and 1998. Another challenging project Dawn has undertaken was teaching Spanish to English-speaking people and vice versa, sometimes having both groups in the same class.
Besides her family and friends, one of Dawn's main interests is promoting a return to godly values for the children of our nation and for this nation's future.
